'This diverse exhibition appeals to so many people from all age groups' Sean says. ‘With this exhibition we aim to increase the knowledge of Titanic's history and that of her sister ships and the White Star Line, which owned and operated many of the finest liners ever to sail the high seas. The prestigious collection of artefacts in the exhibition, tell the story of Titanic from construction to her fateful maiden voyage. The Titanic artefacts are a wonderful tribute to all who sailed on the ship. Her sister ship Olympic, which was the only one of the Olympic Class Liners to complete her service, provides many fittings and fixtures which show the luxury and grandeur of these magnificent vessels, as the interiors of all three ships were practically identical.

We remember the forgotten sister ship Britannic, through artifacts preserved after being recovered from her wreck in the Aegean Sea.

The White Star Line was a very successful and prosperous shipping company and they not only offered their passengers comfort when traveling on their liners but also ensured that the comfort was luxurious in every possible way. When a passenger stepped onboard, what better way to continue to promote the line's identity than with attractive tableware that had the company's name or logo on it. Every time a passenger sat down at a table, the tableware spoke to him. Whether it was a teacup, dinner plate, cutlery or ashtray, you could not mistake the company you were sailing with.

Giving thought provoking insight into life aboard ocean voyages on White Star Liners we have a vast collection of artefacts and ephemera from the legendary shipping company and various liners of the White Star fleet.

Bringing the Titanic story into modern times, we have a varied collection of movie props from the recent blockbuster Titanic, including stunning set pieces and costumes worn by the leading cast.

Through the artifacts seen in the exhibition we aim to give a better understanding of the ships of the past and the people who sailed on them.
