Titanic display at Time and Tide

Titanic Honour & Glory has opened at Time and Tide from April 1st through to September 24th 2017. This unique exhibition brings to life the history of the legendary Ocean Liner, the Royal Mail Steamer Titanic, an
exhibition voted one of the top five exhibitions in the United Kingdom by The Times newspaper.

Titanic Honour & Glory an exciting, evocative and awe-inspiring national touring exhibition which has already
been seen by over a million people around the UK, features many rare and previously unseen artefacts from
the liner, its passengers and crew, including some of the beautiful china dinner plates upon which the first
meals were served aboard Titanic.

Also on show will be a letter, written on board Titanic by Frederick Banfield, a passenger in second class. And, perhaps most poignantly of all, there will be a nameplate from one of Titanic’s lifeboats. Visitors will also be able to see rare examples of in memoriam tributes made in the aftermath of the sinking, including Titanic relief fund cheques, which were given to support the families of those who were lost.

In addition to artefacts fromTitanic, the exhibition will give visitors glimpses of the liner’s sumptuous interior
and the luxury passengers enjoyed aboard a White Star liner through rare examples from her sister ships,
Olympic and Britannic. The exhibition will also showcase a selection of props from the film, Titanic, which
will include some of the dresses worn by Kate Winslet, including the dazzling heart of the ocean necklace.

Exhibition owner and historian, Sean Szmalc’s fascination with Titanic began at the age of five, when he saw
the film ‘A Night to Remember.’ He has been amassing the awe-inspiring collection ever since. “This diverse
exhibition appeals to so many people from all age groups,” Sean says. “With this exhibition we aim to increase the knowledge of Titanic’s history and that of her sister ships and the White Star Line, which owned and operated many of the finest liners ever to sail the high seas. Each visitor will experience what it was like to have been aboard Titanic, the opulence, luxury and the ultimate survival during the tragedy. The exhibition
will take you on a genuine voyage of discovery.”

Titanic Honour and Glory is produced by Titanic Honour and Glory Limited, based in Scotland, a leader in
